Yesterday was rather too eventful: an employee of the data centre whose racks our main UK shared server is housed in, whilst intending to format a server positioned in the rack next to our main server, identified the wrong server. He wiped our machine clean. Though we were in direct contact with him within 3 minutes of them powering the machine off, it was already too late. He had already begun formatting it, and the data could not be recovered.
Everything is now back online, restored successfully from backups – all customers will be emailed a longer report.
